The Making of Night Music: The Drums

The drums in this book are the main competitor with the piano for apex predator. My main inspiration for writing these sequences was a viewing of the original 1933 King Kong at the Bristol Forbidden Worlds festival, so much of these instrument-offs (for lack of a better description) are based on Harryhausen/ Brien claymation fights. Great stuff! The drums are one of the most terrifying instruments in the book. Think about it. Just the sound of a drum can make someone wince or double-take in the way that a piano or guitar cannot.
