The Making of Night Music: The Guitars

There's something about a guitar that epitomises pure cool in a that, say, an oboe does not. The guitar, after all, is used in rock music. It felt sacrilegious, in a way, to have electric guitars in my book. Yet, I liked doing the BAOW-WOW noises. The guitars much like the violins, sweeping and attacking like birds. The riffs used in the book are some of the most iconic ones I associate with rock music.
