Red: the title: Making of

Red had been in my mind for years. Originally, it had been bureaucrats administering horror films (see Red: Introduction for where, erm, this original idea came from). Once it changed to bureaucrats administering fairytales, the problem remained. What to call this story? Really, this was one of the easiest stories to title. I had two alternative titles: Human Resources and Interns. I'll use those someday. I really hate Human Resources departments. Really hate them. They're fucking useless. They're in position to help the company, not you. So I wanted to give them a middle-finger with this book. Instead, with the Red Riding Hood theme, I decided to call the book Red. I'm a huge fan of Taylor Swift, you see. So this was a little bit of a homage.
