The Making of Lord Caterpillar Underworld: An Introduction

Okay, sorry kids, so I messed up. In more ways than one. This is the fourth book in the series but it says Book Five. That's number one mess up but I can correct it, easy. Just write another book in between Book Three and Five. Easy! It will be a prequel showing Mary and Freddie in the orphanage. I've set up enough interesting things that happened in the orphanage now so people should be keen on that.

The second way I messed up is that this book, Lord Caterpillar Underworld, is a clear analogy for how I felt at my workplace. I was chained to my job, an abusive lover.

The third way I messed up is how the book could also be read as an analogy for myself. I'm a bit of a monster, you see. So, despite not having been in a relationship in yonks, Brady is something of a self-portrait. A really, really exaggerated self-portrait but a self portrait nonetheless.

I also messed-up in that, ironically, when I began building this book, I developed a stye in my eye that kept reoccurring; which meant that for much of writing, I looked like one of The Sandman's victims.
